​On Monday, December 19, 2022, Al Tariq Temple #245 (Marietta) and Al Tariq Court #228 (Marietta) delivered toys to the American Legion. These toys were collected during their annual joint Christmas Party and Toy Drive. During this toy drive, there was a great turnout of Nobles and Daughters from the Atlanta Area.

The American Legion Post 296, which received these toys, is located at 906 W Atlanta Street SE in Marietta. The mission of this organization is to promote patriotism, honor our veterans, and assist the community with their needs.

Al Tariq Temple #245, a member of the Prince Hall Shriners, AEAONMS, is a fraternal organization based in Marietta, Georgia. It was established in 2011 as a social order for men built on the pillars of brotherhood and community service. It continues to be an active organization that provides scholarships, raises money for local charities, and participates in community service projects. Their mission is to help others while helping themselves through the bonds of brotherhood.

Al Tariq Temple #245 and Al Tariq Court #228 are great examples of how fraternal organizations can be active in their communities.  They have made it their mission to help those in need in Cobb County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area.

The members of Al Tariq Temple #245 have elected a new divan to serve during the year of 2023.  The election was held on Saturday, December 3, 2022.

Noble Jay Weaver-Dewberry was elected Illustrious Potentate.

The temple members are excited for the ensuing year and are committed to making a positive impact in Cobb County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area.
